President: Nathanael Oster, University of Pennsylvania

Nathanael is a native of rural southeastern Tennessee. Having been raised on an animal farm, he knows where he has been and where he is going: urban small animal medicine. Blessed with an extremely short attention span, Nathanael spent a couple years after his undergraduate career in Nashville, Tennessee, pursuing a degree in German Language and Literature. He will offer you a "Guten Tag" any time, but would prefer to talk to you about small animal emergency and critical care, practice ownership, and/or his friends and classmates of the 2012 class at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Nathanael is humbled and profoundly excited to be a part of the VBMA on both a local and national level.

Vice President: Jeni Rogan, Purdue University

Jeni Rogan is in the class of 2011 at Purdue University. Always knowing she wanted to enter the medical profession she started off as a nursing major but eventually realized that veterinary medicine was where she belonged. Once in vet school her interests in business grew and she happily joined the VBMA chapter at Purdue, eventually becoming the chapter’s Secretary. During the National Meeting she realized how important this organization was and all its limitless possibilities. She is so glad to be part of a national organization that is student-driven and working hard to promote business knowledge. She is excited to help students from across the country provide opportunities to learn all the important skills that will help them become very successful in their careers. Her veterinary interests include small animal medicine, especially feline medicine, preventative medicine, and endocrinology. A goal of hers is to eventually own a multi-doctor veterinary practice. In trying to maintain life balance you can find her spending time with her boyfriend Matt and their two cute cats, Ricky and Lucy. She also loves hiking, biking, and reading novels whenever possible.

Treasurer: Christina Moore, Texas A&M University

I am in-between my second and third year of vet school....Yes, that's right, I love business so much that I decided to join the dual-degree program at Texas A&M, to get my DVM and MBA. I know it’s another year of school, but I definitely made the right choice because I have never enjoyed school as much as I am enjoying the MBA program! Outside of school, I run for pleasure and for stress relief. I once ran as far as 26.2 miles, but I'm not sure that will ever happen again. I have a passion for visiting new places, seeing new things, and meeting new people, so I travel as far and as often as I can. Last year I was lucky enough to go to Orlando in January for NAVC, where I met wonderful people and made some decisions that would change my life. I also visited New York, Omaha, Chicago, St. Louis, Seattle, Norway, Denmark, Germany, and Italy. I work in the MBA office as Admissions Recruiting Committee Manager, hosting prospective students and organizing their visits. I love meeting new people and selling them the things I believe in, so be sure to ask me how you can get involved with VBMA at the national level!
