Beginning of the year enrollment

Hello everyone,

Our OSU VBMA team has a goal set for fall term to increase enrollment of students. While lowering dues would be nice (since everyone seems to have to use their checkbook one too many times the first two weeks of school), our budget does not really allow for this option. Does anyone have any other ideas on how we could possibly increase enrollment without cutting costs?

Thanks,

Recruitment

I don't know if all universities have the COLE program like Washington State Does, but lucky for us our VBMA advisor is also a HUGE VBMA advocate, Dr. Rick DeBowes. We get together before we start school at a camp (1st years only) and have lots of discussions. It may help if we find an individual who understands the importance of VBMA and can help us make plugs during events such as this. At our school, most members are 1st and 2nd years, so this is a great recruitment opportunity. We also have a club fair where all of the student clubs get together and explain what they do. The VBMA Club booth at WSU was very busy-as officers we gave them scenarios or asked questions many students never thought of needing to know the answer to, so this has always been a huge recruitment effort at our school. This has worked for us in the past, but we would like more ideas on what others schools have tried so far.
