Our chapter recently had a representative from our College of Continuing Education present information on an Applied Business Certificate. It is a 15 credit program including courses in management, marketing, finances and communication. It is accredited and offered at undergraduate tuition costs to graduate students both in and out of state. It is also offered conveniently as an online course. The total program cost is about $5,000.00. Currently there are only a handful of DVM student enrolled, but there was significant interest shown at this meeting. I have been interested, after discussion with other chapters, in creating a VMBA chapter business certificate program. It appears that other chapters had significant success with that and it was also an effective practice to improve enrollment.
