Fritz Wood

Hey Western Region! Just a heads up for those of you interested, Fritz is coming to Davis April 10th. I know that hes going to Mexico for like a month after hes done with us, but maybe if anyone is interested you could book him before the April 10th date. Also if anyone has questions about how we run our symposium just post!

Hi Kim, Is your VBMA

Hi Kim,

Is your VBMA symposium an annual event? How do you publicize to practitioners in the area, and what are your attendance numbers like?

We had a CE event at Tufts a few years ago that was successful, but we haven't been able to put one together since then. One of our challenges is picking topics that are relevant to practitioners, managers, technicians, and students.

Can you share a little more about how the Davis symposium is run?

Thanks!

VBMA Symposium Attendance Number

Hey Kim,

Could you tell me what your typical attendance number is for your VBMA symposium? Do you know what your first year's attendance was? We're trying to determine a rough idea of attendance in order to obtain price quotes for catering and a location. Any insight would be extremely helpful.

Thank you!

More VBMA Symposium Questions

Regarding your VBMA symposium you've had in the past, how do you collect payment for the event from surrounding practitioners? Do they simply mail you a check or do you accept credit cards somehow? Do you find that you have enough time to receive the reservations and registration fees in time to order lunch for that many people?

Thanks for all your help!

Fritz Wood / Symposium

Thanks for the post, Kim. Two questions: 1) What is Fritz's contact info? and 2) How many talks do you have Fritz give at your symposium? Do you also provide lunch for those attending? Oops, sorry, I guess that was 3 questions! Thanks for all your info! -Brandi Bayliff

Fritz's email is

Fritz's email is fwood@kc.rr.com . Last time he talked like all day from 8am to around 3 or 4. It all depends on how long you want him to go. Yes we provide lunch for the people attending. Last time we did boxed sandwiches. We also charge them...it was like 175 for vets, 80 for Managers, 70 for techs...etc...
