Hey South Central,

Just wanted to give you guys an update on some fundraising ideas that we are trying out this year. During the spring semester, we are compiling a cookbook entitled "Recipes for Success" with student and faculty recipes that are family favorites, individual specialties or quick recipes for busy evenings. The cover will have a collage of images of students on externships or doing veterinary related activities. We are having the cookbooks printed in our vet med library and are selling them for $10. In the fall, we are selling business cards, personalized business card holders, and KSU CVM leather portfolios. The business cards have been a hit in the past and we are again collaborating with our vet med library and selling the cards 25 for $5 and 50 for $10. We are still looking into the business card holders, but have gotten some samples of portfolios that are pretty nice. We plan to sell them for $25. You guys are welcome to use any or all of these ideas in your own chapters and feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Other than the business cards, all of these ideas are new to our chapter and will hopefully be profitable for the club.
