New Position - National Liason
We currently have 4 officers in our Wisconsin chapter:
President - overseas everything and plans all events
Vice President - aids President in planning
Secretary - record keeping and event reporting
Treasurer - money keeping and financial report preparer
We could always use another hand and there are students who are interested in getting more involved in the VBMA here. So we decided to create a new position:
National Liason - to contend with all matters national and to post on the national and regional discussion boards (because honestly these last 2 national board topics have kicked my un-wordly butt!)
It is currently open for the running and hopefully will be filled soon!

I think that is a great position & I encourage all school to create a similar position or assign a current position to be responsible for the National communication.
The National Board has a Compliance Chair. That is something that can be mimicked in the chapters by having an officer who is responsible for keeping track of all the pieces needed to keep a chapter in good standing - such as the posting on the boards, making sure the meetings get reported by the secretary, making sure that the treasurer gets the financial report done on time, etc. That helps keep everyone on track & your chapter should always be in good standing. I am encouraging MN to start an officer position like this for this year.
