Personal Finance

Hey!
I can't believe how fast time is flying this semester! We started classes around the end of August, after our amazing VLE-Freshman Orientation that our VBMA held =). At Tuskegee, each club has an assigned day that they meet in the month. The VBMA's day happens to be at the end of the month. We had an informal lunch meeting at the start of September, where the new students (and those who had forgotten) were told about the VBMA, our mission, and help explain the need for a business organization. During our first formal meeting at the end of September, we held elections.
So needless to say, we are just now "getting down to business". Our first meeting with the new executive board is going to be held tomorrow. We are planning on doing a "Personal Finance" workshop. I am going to be running the meeting! (wohoo!!!). We have made announcements to all of the VBMA members and are going to be offering lunch to the active (aka paid) members. Hopefully the workshop will be successful. I first got the idea from the VBMA website (sooo helpful) and really wanted to discuss a wide variety of issues from a personal budget, to student loans, to credit scores, to applying this to the future when we all own our own practice. But as I started working on the logistics of it all, I realized, this was going to need to be a multiple part workshop. To take about 45 mins of time and include all of that information, wouldn't do justice to the topic. So I am planning on making tomorrow's workshop, part 1 of 3.
I will update everyone on how the workshop goes tomorrow. If ANYONE has any ideas, please let me know! I will take any advice, or suggestions!!!!
