Take-aways from the VBMA conference at NAVC

This topic is meant to draw out information you found particularly important or memorable from the VBMA training session at NAVC this year.

#1. Elephant in the closet discussion panel really stands out for me. A solution to the debt: income problem we'll face when we graduate is to own a practice. The long term return on owning a practice and being able to repay our loans can only be achieved by being profitable in our practice.

#2. "Choose happy" - we can decide.

Please add to this list and add any additional comments you have to the ones I've listed. This could be a good reference to what we heard at the conference.

#3. The LAB Workshop was extremely beneficial. I took lots of notes and intend to share key points with colleagues and friends. Everyone can benefit from the LAB workshop.

#4. Body Language in the Workplace presented by Dr. McVey was enlightening and knowledgeable. It's nice to be able to "read" people through their body language. I also like to know what my body language is saying to others, because I don't want to give the wrong impressions to colleagues (or clients in the future)!
