VBMA Involvement in Komen Race For the Cure
The Ohio State University's VBMA has joined forces with other veterinary school organizations to help make this year's Komen Race for the Cure a success! Annually, Komen Race for the Cure comes to Columbus to help raise money for breast cancer research. It is a day long event held on May 15, 2010 dedicated to empowering and supporting women who's lives have been affected by breast cancer. This year VBMA is stepping up by raising funds through a 'Dine to Donate' event at Applebee's restaurant where students can dine at Applebee's with 10% of the bill going to Race for the Cure. Additionally, VBMA is handling the t-shirt sales and design for the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine team that will be participating in the walk/run race the day of the event. We are very proud to be taking a role in giving to such a great cause. We hope the day will be a success even greater than previous years, and we are so excited to represent VBMA at such a large event.
