Greetings from Minnesota!

One idea we had to hopefully increase networking opportunities within our
club and give people a chance to learn about more real life veterinary
practice issues, is to have "Business Rounds" once a month. We would bring
in practice owners from around the community to discuss issues they deal
with in their practices. Selected topics could include: client payment
compliance, employee/associate issues (assuming we can provide anonymity),
and general business challenges and tips. The idea is to have it be more of
an interactive discussion instead of formal speaker. It would hopefully
give students an opportunity to think through issues critically and toss
around ideas. We would love feedback from any chapters that may have done
something similar or ways you think we could make this better. We hope to
begin implementing this fall of 2010.
