The National Comission on Veterinary Economic Issues (NCVEI) provides business tools and resources for veterinarians and veterinary students. Veterinary students can sign up for the site using their SCAVMA or AAHA membership number.

AVPMCA (Vet Partners) - http://www.avpmca.org
The Association of Veterinary Practice Management Consultants and Advisors, in the process of changing its name to VetPartners, is an organization of consultants, many of them also veterinarians, who help veterinarians run their businesses better.

The AVMA provides some helpful tools such as their member directory and veterinary salary calculator. They also provide marketing research data on veterinary salaries and an overview of the veterinary industry.

Student AVMA Economics Finance and Management Committee (EFMC)
The EFMC is a committee within the SAVMA House of Delegates with the following mission:
     "The Economics, Finance, and Management Committee works to promote the education of current economic issues facing the veterinary industry. We maintain a liaison with the National Commission for Veterinary Economic Issues and promote opportunities for student personal and professional development by serving as a resource to SCAVMA chapters and veterinary school business clubs."

The EFMC currently offers the following awards for SAVMA members:
   1. Business Chapter Start Up Award - $500 (Chapters up to 2 years old are eligible)
   2. Business Chapter Excellence Award - $750
   3. EFMC Bi-annual Quiz – 5 randomly selected submissions will be awarded $100
